Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to serve and help others in my community: being a dentist has given me that opportunity. When I can get patients out of dental pain, educate them about their oral health, and improve the appearance of their smile, it is such a fulfilling feeling. Dentistry is not just about “fixing teeth,” it’s about helping others improve their quality of life. It is a privilege to work with patients to make a positive impact in their lives.
When it comes to my patients, I strive not only to provide them the best care possible but also the information they need to be involved in their own dental health. When patients come to their appointment, I listen to their concerns and provide them the information they need so we can work together to determine the best treatment course. In our field, we dentists also understand that many factors can influence a patient’s decision in regards to their care -- finances, timing, treatment extent -- and we take those into consideration.
The exciting part of being a dentist is that it is more than just treating teeth, it’s building relationships with the patients I work with. I look forward to growing my professional family with the patients, the staff, and the fellow dentists here at Dela Rama Dental.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science – University of the Pacific (Stockton, CA)
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (San Francisco, CA)
- Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency - NYU Langone (San Jose, CA)
Dentistry is a continuous process of learning and discovery, as more advances in dental technology and materials emerge. I am constantly working on increasing my knowledge base through continuing education, because dentistry demands a level of artistry and skill to meet the needs and expectations of my patients. Throughout the year, I complete courses provided by the San Mateo County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and California Dental Association.
I was born and raised in Daly City, and have spent my whole life in the Bay Area. While I ventured outside of the Bay for college and for my residency, I ended up coming back because I know the Bay is the place to be! I look forward to developing my dental career in my hometown community.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I also enjoy expressing my creativity through music and crafting. Other passions of mine include traveling and experiencing different cultures through food and language.
