Meet Dr. Bonita C. Dela Rama

Dr. Bonita C. Dela Rama — affectionately known to her patients as Dr. Bing—earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Philippines at Diliman in 1975. After immigrating to the United States, she gained extensive experience working in various roles within San Francisco dental offices, including as a dental assistant, hygienist, and associate dentist.

In 1983, Dr. Bing opened her own private practice in Daly City, located at the corner of King Drive and Callan Boulevard. Generations of patients fondly recall her warm, welcoming presence—and the butterflies that adorned nearly every corner of the office. Her personalized approach to family dentistry quickly became a cornerstone of the community.

In 2005, Dr. Bing welcomed her son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Andrew and Marjorie, into the practice. Together, they formed Dela Rama Dental Care, blending Dr. Bing’s compassionate, patient-first philosophy with the latest in dental innovations and technologies.

After over 40 years of dedicated service to the Daly City and South San Francisco communities, Dr. Bing retired from private practice in 2023. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to dentistry and her long-standing commitment to patient care, she was honored with the California Dental Association's Lifetime Achievement Award and Membership.

Now enjoying a well-earned retirement, Dr. Bing spends her time reading, traveling with her husband, and baking cakes, cookies, and other homemade treats. She remains a familiar face in the community—often seen at local church services or visiting the office to share her baked goods and warm smiles.
